GFM wins Anugerah Kontraktor Cemerlang from Public Works Department
KUALA LUMPUR: GFM Services Bhd (GFM) wholly owned subsidiary Global Facilities Management Sdn Bhd has won the Public Works Department’s (JKR) Anugerah Kontraktor Cemerlang. GFM was the recipient of the award for the provision of building facility management services at the Sultan Iskandar Building which is the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex in Johor Bahru.
GFM has been involved since 2007 for the provision of Building Maintenance and Management services for the CIQ Complex in relations to, among others, informationandcommunications technology, mechanical and electrical services systems, civil and engineering and custodial services.
Ruslan Nordin, managing director of GFM said, “We are very proud to have won this respected award as it demonstrates our client’s satisfaction and appreciation towards our quality of service.
We have worked on the CIQ Complex for 10 years since its inception and hope to continue to manage this asset for the government.

The Anugerah Kontraktor Cemerlang is accorded annually to the winning contractor measured against a stringent set of criteria pre-determined by JKR in terms of quality of work, timely delivery and consistent performance.
The award is aimed at recognising companies with best practices to further promote and elevate the industry’s standards in Malaysia.
The CIQ Complex acts as a main transportation hub between Singapore and Malaysia, housing various government agencies including the immigration and customs checkpoint for land vehicles with the capacity to handle 70 million visitors annually.
