Blood donation, health screening Aug 26

-

KOTA KINABALU: Persatuan Hemodialisis Kinabalu Sabah (PHKS) in collaboration with JCI Tanjung Aru and Queen Elizabeth Hospital are co-organising a blood donation drive and health screening on August 26 at Suria Sabah Shopping Mall.

The targeted number of pints to be collected are 100.

There will be a promotion of annual charity bazaar organised by PHKS, co-organised by JCI Tanjung Aru in aid of kidney patients on October 28 at Likas Sports Complex badminton hall.

The cost of operating a hemodialysis centre is very costly with treatment can easily cost RM3,000 per patient per month. Purpose of fund raising is to provide affordable and quality dialysis treatment to the poor and needy patients from community.

On August 26, bazaar coupons are available for sale. Any contributions whether in cash or in kind can help to make a huge difference to the kidney patients by lessening their pain and make their life a little more comfortable. All donations to PHKS are tax exempted.

The coupons are also available for sale at E-West Luyang, Venition, Cempaka Square, BC Bistro, The Cruise Cafe Lounge, Runway Cafe Tanjung Aru, Airways Putatan, Cherry Restaurant and Metropot Metrotown.
