TYT, CM attend rulers meeting

HEAD of State Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Juhar Mahiruddin and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Shafie Haji Apdal attended the 249th Rulers Council conference held at the National Palace in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. The meeting was chaired by Perak Ruler, Sultan Nazrin Shah and attended by Malay Rulers or their representatives and Head of States as well as Chief Ministers and Mentri Besar from states in Malaysia.

The two-day meeting which began today was attended by all the Malay Rulers except for the Sultans of Pahang and Kelantan.

The Regent of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, represented the Sultan of Pahang while the Regent of Kelantan, Dr Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra, represented the Sultan of Kelantan.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Muhammad V, is scheduled to attend the meeting today.
