- By Shalina R.

KOTA KINABALU: The Shore, the tallest luxury residential building in Kota Kinabalu center, will be a magnet for Airbnb business people in Sabah.

Blu Waterfront Development Sdn Bhd (Property Development and Project Department) senior manager Henry K C Fo said that the residential units, which is part of the commercial hub docked development, is the perfect prime land located property for Airbnb.

He revealed 50% of the 561 exclusive suite units, priced between RM450,000 and RM700,000, had already been sold.

Fo added 70% to 80% of the purchasers are Malaysians and 50% out of the total number of purchasers are Sabahans.

The remainder, he said are international buyers from China, Brunei and Singapore.

According to Fo, construction of the project is so far on schedule and at the pile caps construction level.

Due to its beachfront location in Kota Kinabalu Central Busines District, he said the units that are between 409 to 541 square feet are the perfect investment for Airbnb businesses.

He foresees that its first rotating sky bar in Kota Kinabalu, poised to be the highest glass observation deck in Borneo, will also be an attraction for residents.

Fo said this during the company’s Aidilfitri Open House and blood donation campaign for its existing and future homebuyers at KK Times Square here yesterday.
