Nilai U high achiever’s scholarship recipient
“I CHERISH my life and I want to do the best out of it,” said Pamela Phua. “I’m reaching my dreams without fear,” she added.
Pamela is one of Nilai University’s scholars who was awarded the High Achiever’s Scholarship (HAS), which entitled her to a 100 per cent full scholarship from Nilai U.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology (Class of 2017) from Nilai U in August last year, Pamela made immediate plan to pursue her Masters at UTAR. And that is exactly where she is today, embarking on the Masters of Science in Biochemistry (by research) programme, fully waived by UTAR Kampar, Perak.
Her friends and family members find her an outspoken and selfmotivated team player with excellent communication skills. She has a good sense of humour and constantly indulges fun in learning.
“I dedicated the past few years to achieve the best I could from Nilai University,” she said.
“In a school of competent candidates, I thank my lecturers for their guidance and I would also like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Willy Yee for his constant dedication and motivation that fires my determination to be the cream of the crop,” she said.
“I am lucky and grateful to be one of the scholars who was given the chance to pursue a free education that has now granted me uncountable rewards,” she added.
“I attribute this success to my ability to plan, schedule, and handle many different tasks at once,” she added. Pamela believes in sharing as she said “the best thing must be shared to all”.
“I would honestly say that I have gained a memorable learning path. The course structure has been fantastic,” she said.
“I learned to challenge my level of determination and enthusiasm every day. Though the University offers me the best opportunities to get the knowledge that I am seeking, it emphasizes that it is up to me to make the most out of the years that I am spending here,” she added.
Pamela believes that there is more in store for her in the future and she aims to successfully ‘own’ most of them if not all.
“I aim to reach my fullest potential and the experience I had in Nilai U played a great role in my progress and success,” she said.
“And I hope my friends deserve the same opportunity as I did to pursue their undergraduate learning in a challenging, stimulating and highly rewarding institution,” she vouched.
