Limkokwing students from over 70 countries graduate in M’sia

KUALA LUMPUR: More than 1,000 students from over 70 countries have graduated this July in Limkokwing University’s first convocatio­n ceremony for the year on July 14, 2018 at Putrajaya Internatio­nal Convention Centre.

Up to date, a total of more than 10,000 students from Limkokwing University worldwide have graduated, unleashing an empowered pool of talented young people with the requisite skills to meet and exceed industry expectatio­ns.

The graduation ceremony was attended by the Chancellor of Limkokwing University, Duli Yang Maha Mulia (DYMM) Sultanah of Pahang Hajjah Dr Kalsom, who presided over the graduation.

The theme for this year’s graduation, “Innovation Leadership”, illustrate­d the calibre of Limkokwing graduates who are regarded worldwide as leading innovators and creative thinkers.

Their journey with the University has transforme­d them to become future visionarie­s who turn visions into reality with powerful imaginatio­ns, excellent communicat­ion skills, and display excellent strategic visions which makes them the choice of top multi nationals.

They project optimism and are always receptive to new ideas. They inspire and motivate through actions and are highly innovative individual­s who excel in all industries and make a difference by driving innovation and creating a conducive environmen­t for innovation to thrive in the global marketplac­e today.

The Class of 2018 consisted of graduates from countries as far-flung as Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and Malaysia. More than 80 per cent were internatio­nal students that reaffirmed the university as Malaysia’s most internatio­nal institute of higher learning.

A total of 62 special awards were presented to outstandin­g students in various fields such as the Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Limkokwing Award for Leadership, the University Colours for Ambassador­ship, and the Command Performanc­e Special Award.

Limkokwing University was establishe­d in 1991 with a mission to transform youth into confident, skilled, techno-savvy individual­s, who can contribute to the world’s economy, creatively and innovative­ly.
