Limkokwing announces collaboration with school for sports and academic development
KUALA LUMPUR: Limkokwing University recently announced a collaboration with Anderson School Old Boys Association (ASOBA) to develop sports and academic in Malaysia.
The collaboration was announced during the association’s visit to Limkokwing University’s campus in Cyberjaya.
Led by former Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia, Tun Ahmad Sarji bin Abdul Hamid, and ASOBA president, Dato’ Seri Abdul Azim Mohd. Zabidi, who is also the chairman of the National Sports Institute.
The collaboration will put a spotlight on the importance of sports in the society, which Tun Ahmad Sarji explained as one of the strongest suits of Anderson School, in particular hockey.
According to Limkokwing University’s president, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Lim Lok Wing, the partnership will begin with the creation of a video to promote sports to increase awareness in the society.
In addition to sports, Limkokwing University will provide academic supports to ASOBA alumni and teachers to further their studies at Limkokwing University at undergraduate and postgraduate level through 10 scholarships.
Established on February 6, 1909, Anderson School is a premier non-missionary school in Ipoh, which was named after the High Commissioner of the Malay States, Sir John Anderson.
