The upgraded ballroom, furnished with newly fitted vibrant coloured carpets, new elegant Art Deco-inspired chandeliers and newly painted walls presents a fresher appeal to our guests while enhancing conferencing and wedding events held in the ballroom.

Located conveniently in the heart of the hotel close to the main facilities, the ballroom is meticulously designed with great flexibility to tailor to different needs, whether catering for gala events and small to medium conferences, as it can be divided into smaller meeting rooms with its collapsible walls.

With the amplified features of the ballroom and the guest rooms enhancement program, the hotel is determined to upgrade and keep its facilities contemporary in this competitive hospitality industry.

The recent upgrade of the hotel's outlets and the ballroom enhancement are among the initiatives invested by the hotel to gain more market share both locally and internationally.

“Our newly upgraded event spaces are ideal to host local, national and international conventions, weddings, social and corporate events, and we look forward to accommodating our MICE, corporate and leisure market wishing to experience excellent service incorporated with the local culture and modernity,” says Narendra Sinniah, the general manager of The Klagan Regency @1Borneo Kota Kinabalu.

The Grand Ballroom can accommodates up to 1,000 guests for a banquet reception right up to 1,800 guests for a standing cocktail while its spacious foyer is ideal for receptions and this is complemented with 5 meeting rooms and 2 board rooms.

The Klagan Regency @1Borneo Kota Kinabalu will also undergo refurbishments of its guest rooms in stages. This will kick off on August 1, 2018 when part of the guest rooms based on floor by floor will close to begin work on the transformation of 24 guest rooms and suites. The overall refurbishment works on the total of 269 guest rooms is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2019. The hotel will remain open throughout the refurbishment period where, upon completion, the new fresh look guest rooms will combine understated local comfort with warm interiors inspired by Sabah's local culture.

Additional enhancement works include the hotel's swimming pool along with the debut of the restaurant and bar & lounge concept which has now been completed.
