AmInvestment Bank appoints Seohan Soo as CEO
KUALA LUMPUR: AmInvestment Bank Bhd has appointed Seohan Soo as its chief executive officer (CEO), effective July 1, 2018.
Soo replaces Raja Teh Maimunah Raja Abdul Aziz who is also AMMB Holdings Bhd (AmBank Group) managing director of wholesale banking.
In a statement yesterday, AmInvestment Bank said Soo has more than 23 years of investment banking experience at both foreign and local investment banks.
“Having joined AmBank Group as the director and head of debt capital markets in 2003, Sso was most recently executive vice-president of capital markets group at AmInvestment Bank,” it said.
Meanwhile, AmInvestment Bank said Raja Teh Maimunah would now focus on her role as managing director of wholesale banking at AmBank (M) Bhd.
“She will be responsible for the wholesale banking client coverage teams, group treasury and markets, transaction banking, corporate banking and credit admin,” it added.
AmBank Group CEO Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir said the changes were part of the company’s internal reorganisation in line with their Top Four strategy.
“It is intended to further strengthen our leadership bench strength to strategically drive the wholesale banking and investment banking businesses forward,” he said. — Bernama
