AmInvestme­nt Bank appoints Seohan Soo as CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: AmInvestme­nt Bank Bhd has appointed Seohan Soo as its chief executive officer (CEO), effective July 1, 2018.

Soo replaces Raja Teh Maimunah Raja Abdul Aziz who is also AMMB Holdings Bhd (AmBank Group) managing director of wholesale banking.

In a statement yesterday, AmInvestme­nt Bank said Soo has more than 23 years of investment banking experience at both foreign and local investment banks.

“Having joined AmBank Group as the director and head of debt capital markets in 2003, Sso was most recently executive vice-president of capital markets group at AmInvestme­nt Bank,” it said.

Meanwhile, AmInvestme­nt Bank said Raja Teh Maimunah would now focus on her role as managing director of wholesale banking at AmBank (M) Bhd.

“She will be responsibl­e for the wholesale banking client coverage teams, group treasury and markets, transactio­n banking, corporate banking and credit admin,” it added.

AmBank Group CEO Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir said the changes were part of the company’s internal reorganisa­tion in line with their Top Four strategy.

“It is intended to further strengthen our leadership bench strength to strategica­lly drive the wholesale banking and investment banking businesses forward,” he said. — Bernama
