“Azzam was really sincere in wanting to marry my sister and both sides of the family agreed to expedite their marriage and they were married at 11am last Friday,” he said.

It was a simple wedding ceremony attended by immediate family members and the marriage was solemnised while Fatin Nursyahirah was lying in bed, before she was rushed to the Jitra Hospital that evening after she complained of shortness of breath.

Less than 24 hours after her wedding, Fatin Nursyahiraq breathed her last at 5.20am on Saturday at Jitra Hospital with her husband, father and mother and Shukur at her bedside.
