EduQuest Education Fair draws over 300 visitors
KOTA KINABALU: More than 300 students and parents visited the EduQuest Education Fair held here yesterday.
The fair showcased a wide range of courses offered by over 20 colleges and universities.
Among the participating higher learning institutions were Asia Pacific University, Berjaya University College, Curtin University Malaysia, Help University, Heriot Watt University Malaysia, Institut Sinaran, Nilai University, SIM Global Education Singapore, St Andrews College Cambridge, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak, Taylors University, UCSI University Sarawak campus, University of Nottingham, University of Southampton Malaysia and many more.
The main objective of the event is to provide an opportunity for parents and students to speak directly to representatives from the universities on course details and scholarships offered. With this, they will have a better idea on planning their pathway on future education.
The education roadshow will be held at Promenade Hotel, Tawau on August 6, from 2 pm to 6 pm. Admission is free.
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Unified Examination Certificate (UEC), Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), A level students and Diploma holders are invited to attend this roadshow. Students are advised to bring along their forecast or actual result slips and relevant documents for on-the-spot assessment and registration.
Scholarships, National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN) and other financial schemes are available. Application fees or registration fees will be waived for students who enrol with some participating universities during the event.
Since its establishment in 2002, EduQuest Education Services has helped a significant number of students to pursue their further studies. It serves as a one-stop centre to assist students in programme advice, university search, scholarship application, accommodation arrangement, pre-departure briefing and student visa application.
