ICar Asia eyes monthly sales of 100 cars via CarlistBid.my

-

KUALA LUMPUR: iCar Asia Ltd, which launched its online car auction service, CarlistBid. my, today is targetting sales of over 100 used cars per month through this website.

Chief executive officer Hamish Stone said over a four-month testing period, CarlistBid.my closed over RM2.1 million in sales within an average of five days per sale completion, which was achieved with a test group of 100 of its dealers.

“We see huge demand for this service as we are now getting 70 cars on an average, from only 10 cars in the first few weeks,” he told a press conference after the launch yesterday.

He said CarlistBid.my would utilise iCar Asia’s existing database of sellers and buyers, Carlist.my, the largest network in the country with over three million ready sellers and more than 3,000 dealers.

To sell their cars, sellers need only to submit a request online, anytime and schedule a complimentary car inspection and car valuation service at CarlistBid.my’s flagship inspection hub next to Regal Valet Auto Detailing Outlet in Kampung Sungai Penchala.

Once the bidding terms are agreed, it will be opened to bidding among certified Carlist.my Trusted Dealers nationwide.

“We will be looking to open more inspections hubs around Malaysia in the near future, focusing on the Klang Valley while Penang and Johor will be our next satellite cities,” he added.
