Socso urges more employers to pay contributions online

-

KUALA LUMPUR: The Social Security Organisation (Socso) has urged more employers to use the online Automated Socso Integrated System (Assist) portal for the payment of monthly contributions.

Its chief executive Datuk Seri Dr Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed said through the method, employers can contribute via FPX (Financial Process Exchange) without any additional charges.

“Employers are only required to have Internet banking accounts, either personal account or corporate account, to conduct the transactions.

“With this portal, employers do not have to go to Socso office or bank counters, and the payment processing time will be greatly reduced,” he said at the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between Socso, PayNet, and RHB Islamic yesterday.

Socso was represented by Dr Mohammed Azman, RHB Islamic by its managing director Datuk Adissadikin Ali, and PayNet by its retail payments director Siek Kar Teck.

Up to Aug 7 this year, 353,439 employers have been registered on Assist since its launch on Jan 1 this year. Meanwhile, an average of 278,730 payment transactions were made monthly via FPX.

With FPX, employers can make payments through 29 banks such as RHB Reflex, May bank2e, Pbebank and other banks on FPX panel. The list of participating banks can be accessed from any location via PayNet.

Socso Assist portal aims to facilitate employers in registering and updating employers’ and employees’ information, as well as conducting contributions payment.
