KUALA LUMPUR: Pelaburan Hartanah Bhd (PHB), the sponsor for Amanah Hartanah Bumiputera (AHB), is developing four properties in the Klang Valley and Terengganu with a gross development value of RM1.5 billion.

Group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Kamalul Arifin Othman said the properties comprised two office buildings and a private hospital in the Klang Valley and a shopping mall in Terengganu.

“These properties would be injected into the AHB portfolio within the next two or three years,” he told reporters after unveiling PHB’s new campaign, “Save, Invest and Win”, here yesterday.

Currently, PHB is managing 19 assets worth RM4 billion consisting of, among others, commercial buildings, hospital and logistics buildings.

Kamalul Arifin said PHB is consistently looking for new asset acquisitions that can be injected into the AHB portfolio.

“Our criteria for new acquisitions is either properties in strategic locations, namely the Klang Valley, big cities or state capitals or strategic land in the Klang Valley and other states,” he said.

Currently, PHB’s landbank stands at about 404.68 hectares in various locations nationwide.

Meanwhile, on the new campaign, Kamalul said it was to create awareness among Bumiputeras on the existence of AHB, as well as inculcate the saving habits among them.

He said the campaign, in collaboration with Maybank Asset Management Sdn Bhd, is offering a draw of AHB units worth RM400,000 as the overall prize.

He added that unit holders with a minimum balance of 1,000 units in their account maintained for six months, from Oct 1 this year until March 31 next year, would be automatically enrolled to participate for one random draw on March 31.— Bernama
