SEOUL: Zhang Yixing, known by his stage name, Lay, began his acting career in China at a young age of six through the television drama, We the People.

He went on to make a name for himself as a child actor before auditioning for SM Entertainment in 2008.

He made the final lineup of EXO, debuting as the group’s main dancer and vocalist in 2012.

Since then, he has forged a career as singer, songwriter, dancer, producer, and actor. Still, he continues to work hard, even locking himself up for 20 days to produce his latest album. What is his greatest fears? After thinking it over, Lay said what he feared was not being able to sing, dance, or do anything.

He also worries that his ageing body might not be able to cope up with all his aspirations.

Aside from his age, Lay said he has not changed. He still keeps his feet rooted with the same zest, goals, and dreams even after all these years.

Based in Seoul, EXO is one of the biggest K-Pop boy bands today and were ranked as the one of the top-five most influential celebrities on Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list from 2014 to 2018.
