KOTA KINABALU: Sabah police have recorded the statements of more than 10 people in their investigations into the case of Tan Sri Musa Aman allegedly intimidating Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, said outgoing Sabah Commissioner of Police Datuk Ramli Din.

Most of those interviewed are in Sabah, he told the media after handing over his duties to Deputy Commissioner of Police Datuk Omar Mammah at the state police contingent headquarters in Kapayan yesterday.

Ramli also said they would be interviewing more people before completing their investigation into the case. According to him, preliminary investigation papers have been submitted to the Attorney General’s Chamber which had then instructed the police to gather more information to complete the investigation.

“Once completed, the investigation papers will be referred to the Attorney General’s Chamber for further action,” Ramli said adding that the case was being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code.

“No, I do not know when he will be returning to Sabah. He has been released on police bail and is free to return when he wants. He is also required to report himself to the police,” he said when asked if he knew when Musa would be coming back. Musa who is former Sabah Umno chief, has until September 11 to swear in as Sungai Sibuga assemblyman failing which he would have to vacate the seat.
