26 graduate from Bible School
KOTA KINABALU: Reverend Dr Kim Sung-hae gave a commencement address for a graduation ceremony held at Glory Christian Centre (GCC), Damai.
Dr Kim is the president of Hansei University, one of South Korea’s top-ranked universities. She is also the wife of the pastor of the world’s largest church, Dr Yonggi Cho of Yoido Full Gospel Church.
She pointed out the importance of love for God and community as the foundation of a fulfilled life. Citing examples from her latest book, Deliverer of Happiness, she spoke on how faith, perseverance, and love transformed her from a oncetimid young woman into whom she is today.
Twenty-six graduands from Glory Christian Centre Bible School earned the Associate of Biblical Studies (ABS) and Bachelor of Theology (ThB).
The graduation ceremony was presided over by Reverend Dr William Vun, founder and senior pastor of Glory Christian Centre. More than 1,000 friends, family and church members witnessed the event in the GCC auditorium.
Founded in 1999, the Glory Christian Centre Bible School is affiliated to the Golden State School of Theology based in Stockton, California. This partnership has produced over 100 local graduates earning Biblical studies related degrees where majority of them are actively serving in ministry in various capacities.
