Sabah Job & Entrepreneur Fair Nov 24-25
KOTA KINABALU: About 20,000 youths are expected to attend the upcoming Sabah Job & Entrepreneur Fair 2018.
The fair, which will offer more than 5,000 job opportunities will be held on November 24-25 at Likas Stadium from 10am to 6pm.
Federal Deputy Home Minister Datuk Azis Jamman said the aim of the fair, which was the brainchild of Wira and Wirawati Warisan, was to address the need to create more job and entrepreneurship opportunities for youths in Sabah.
Under the new Malaysia era, the voice of the youths will no longer be neglected.
“This was proven in the recent 14th general election, whereby the voices of the youth helped shape the pattern of the election,” he said during the soft launch of the fair at Suria Sabah Shopping Mall, Friday.
He said the job offers available during the fair would not only comprise of jobs from Sabah but it would also include those big companies from West Malaysia as well.
The fair would also feature talks, interviews, resume clinics, mini forums, more than 100 exhibitions booths as well appearances of top entrepreneurship figures.
He reckoned that this would be the first-ever ‘two-in-one' fair in Sabah, in which it will feature both job and entrepreneurship offers.
The soft launch also bore witness to the launch of the special website - www. sabahjobfair.com.my that will feature any job opportunities in Sabah.
Commenting on Bersih Sabah'¦s recent criticism, whereby the former had reminded Parti Warisan to ‘differentiate political programmes and government programmes', Azis said the matter should not be an issue as the previous BN government had done so themselves.
He reminded the public to look at the fair positively as Parti Warisan had conducted it voluntarily without any personal gain.
He also pointed out that the fair was co-organised by the state and federal governments.
