Sarawak PKR secretary questions Larry Sng's ultimate agenda
KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak acknowledges Julau MP Larry Sng's disappointment at the way the party is being run by its chairman Baru Bian, but queried his (Larry) ultimate agenda.
In a press statement entitled 'What motivates Larry Sng?' Sarawak PKR secretary Nicholas Bawin said Baru would not respond to the type of allegations that Larry has been making against him in his Facebook.
"However, now that it has been printed in the newspapers, I am compelled to respond publicly as secretary of the party.
"It seems that Larry is unhappy about certain matters and he wants the world to know it. The posting he made a few weeks ago about Baru's inaction over allegations against his political secretary in the party's election process was the first. Larry wanted Baru to immediately dismiss his PS.
"As a lawyer who respects the process of law, Baru would not dismiss a person summarily upon mere allegations. Baru has made it clear in a statement that the proper procedure must be followed and the law should be allowed to take its course. Even laymen know about the proverbial maxim that a person is innocent until proven guilty."
He thus urged the people not to compare this case with the one involving a minister who dismissed his aide for upskirting of a woman.
Comparing would be silly because the evidence in the 'upskirt' case was clear, he added.
