Mingle with people to continue winning their support — rep

-

KULAI: To enjoy continuous support from the people, Pakatan Harapan elected representatives should make it a practice to go down to the ground to mingle with people and listen to their problems, said Bukit Permai assemblyman Tosrin Jarvanthi.

He said this was the simplest and most effective way to get to know and understand the community’s problems.

Apart from making house visits he said, it was good to hand out complaint forms or open a complaint centre at the markets in the districts on a monthly basis.

“I believe problems can be solved more effectively and easily if the elected representatives go to the people rather than have the people seek them for help. In this way I am confident the party will have the trust and continuous support of the people.”

He said this to reporters at a meet-the-people programme which was officiated by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Osman Sapian at the Jalan Cengal Apartment in Bandar Putra Kulai here yesterday.

Earlier, Osman in his speech said the programme should continue to be treated as a matter of urgency in providing for the welfare of the public.

At the event Osman announced that the state government had agreed to provide an allocation of RM200,000 for residents of the apartment which would be used for the construction of a community hall and other recreation facilities. - Bernama
