LONDON: British-Malaysian actor Henry Golding must be seeing stars.

He’s next due to star alongside veteran actor Hugh Grant (Four Weddings and a Funeral) in director Guy Ritchie’s drugdealing thriller Toff Guys.

In fact, Golding has already signed up for his fifth movie — all thanks to his break-out role in Crazy Rich Asians.

Toff Guys explores the collision between European “old money” and the modern marijuana industry.

“McConaughey as the inside outsider with Henry and Kate will make for a thrilling Guy Ritchie ride,” said Miramax CEO Bill Block.

The movie will see Ritchie returning to his grittier roots after a foray into family filmmaking with Disney’s liveaction Aladdin.

Miramax picked up the project at Cannes for US$30 million after the company secured a five-year, multi-bank revolving credit facility of US$300 million.

Production is set to start soon in England.

Grant, who is represented by CAA, was last seen in theatres playing the resident villain in Paddington 2, earning kudos for his comic turn as a fading actor. He can also currently be seen in Amazon’s A Very English Scandal, in which he play British member of Parliament Jeremy Thorpe, who was tried for attempting to murder his exlover.
