KOTA KINABALU: Graduates should further develop skills and knowledge to help increase the nation's productivity and living standards, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.

“Therefore, it is hoped that graduates will continue to take the opportunity to increase skills and knowledge in related fields in the future,” said Shafie, whose speech was read by Assistant Education and Innovation Minister Jenifer Lasimbang, during the MAHSA College Sabah Campus' second convocation ceremony here yesterday.

“Knowledge and knowledge culture is a continuous dynamic process and it is an important component in the process of selfdevelopment, organization and nation.

“Hence, education and knowledge development need to be constantly enhanced and strengthened even though formal study of graduates has ended in MAHSA.

“This convocation is a starting point for you to take a further step into a higher level and understand the meaning and way of working life,” he added.

One hundred and sixty-four graduates received diplomas in Pharmacy, Environmental Health, Business Administration, Accounting, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging, Physiotherapy, and Entrepreneurship.

MAHSA University will have its own Hospital building facility located in Bandar Saujana Putra, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

The establishment of the MAHSA Hospital is considered one of the steps MAHSA University welcomes the government's efforts towards adding hospital facilities for the benefit of the people and those in need.
