Kong and Fung’s teams attend PKR re-election briefing

-

TAWAU: Supporters of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Tawau chairman candidates Datuk Kong Hong Ming and Fung Thin Yein attended a briefing conducted by the PKR central election committee (JPP) at the badminton courts of Tawau Sports Complex, Jalan Utara here yesterday.

The briefing was conducted by Hj Saman bin Rombey, who represented the Sabah PKR election director Hj Rosli Masaliku about the preparations for the coming re-election.

Saman also confirmed that the PKR Tawau re-election would be held tomorrow, November 11, starting from 9am until 4pm.

He hoped this re-election for PKR Tawau division could be run smoothly and successfully with full cooperation from both sides.

Fung urged all PKR members to put on a yellow shirt as a coalition for clean and fair elections or Bersih during the re-election this Sunday to avoid a low turnout of voters.

He also hoped they could think twice on who they should give their votes to because the one they chose would reflect the party (PKR), the country, and even the future generations.

Kong, who did not attend the briefing, was represented by his team member.

Kong and Fun are involved in a two-cornered fight in the re-election. Another aspirant, Tommy Thomas has pulled out from the contest, and will contest for the PKR Tawau Youth chief post instead.
