PBS Wanita delegates conference Nov 15-16

-

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Wanita delegates throughout Sabah will convene here for the party's 33rd Annual General Meeting on November 15 and 16.

The meeting will be held at ITCC Hall in Penampang on Friday Nov 16 starting 9am. It precedes the main party congress which will be held on Nov 17.

According to the organising committee's publicity chief Datin Vicky Yee, this is also election year for PBS and although Datuk Anita Baranting has won the Women Movement chief's post uncontested, there is very keen contest for the other posts.

Anita said that the keen contest for various posts by members throughout Sabah in the executive level is a good indication that PBS is still relevant.

She reminded delegates to elect leaders of quality, integrity, possess team spirit and subscribe to party principles.

She also called on members to continue playing an active role in the community not withstanding the fact that the party is no longer in the administrative role in the state affairs.

Yee said that the registration of the delegates is at the party headquarters in Dongonggon Penampang on Nov 15 from 8am to 5pm.

The opening ceremony of 33rd Delegates Conference will be officiated by party president Tan Sri Pairin Joseph Kitingan on the same day at 3pm at Hakka Hall, Tanjung Lipat.

“This is his last official opening of the delegates conference before he formally steps down as party president. All the delegates are invited to a fellowship night, Malam Bersatu, at 7pm on the same day also at Hakka Hall,” she added.

The organising chairlady this year is Stefony Francis P Chan and the conference chairlady is Matunggong assemblywoman Julita Majungki.
