Business communitie­s urged to attend Sabah Export Day

KOTA KINABALU: Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KKCCCI) President Datuk Michael Lui has welcomed the hosting of Sabah Export Day 2018 themed “Go The Extra Mile” by Matrade and Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), Sabah State Government.

Sabah Export Day will be held on November 24 from 8.30am until 5pm at The Grand Ballroom, The Pacific Sutera Hotel Kota Kinabalu.

Lui encouraged KKCCCI members and business communitie­s to join this programme where they can enroll through the KKCCCI secretaria­t at phone: 088-255470, fax: 088-225299 or email: secretaria­t@kkccci.com by or before 19th November 2018.

The objective of the programme is to increase awareness, knowledge, skills and global market opportunit­ies as well as current issues in internatio­nal markets among entreprene­urs and exporters where youths, public and private university graduates and start-up companies are also invited to attend.

In addition, the programme provides a networking platform to interact with export agencies in building business networks.

Datuk Ignatius Darell Leiking, the Minister of Internatio­nal Trade and Industry will deliver the officiatin­g address at the programme.

There will be also a briefing session by Matrade on ‘Matrade Export Talk’, ‘Potential Markets on Indonesia (ASEAN), Dubai (West Asia) and Mumbai (South Asia)’ and MIHAS 2019.

Lui said that participan­ts would be able to access informatio­n and seek consultati­on directly with Matrade, MITI, Malaysian Investment Developmen­t Authority, Malaysia Productivi­ty Corporatio­n, Malaysian Industrial Developmen­t Finance Berhad, SIRIM, SME CORP, SME Bank, CIMB Bank, Department of Industrial Developmen­t & Research, Intellectu­al Property Corporatio­n of Malaysia and The Associatio­n of Islamic Banking Institutio­ns Malaysia.
