SME Sabah inaugural installation ceremony today
KOTA KINABALU: The inaugural installation ceremony of SME Sabah is set for today, November 18, and to be attended by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau.
The SME Association of Sabah (SME Sabah) was established on 29th March this year with an objective to promote Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within the state. It is also providing the necessary assistance and information to relevant sectors.
Since its formation, the association has been very active playing its role via recruitment on new members and setting achievable targets.
Currently, SME Sabah is working closely with the SME Association of Malaysia to harness on their vast experience and information which is required to stimulate the development of the local SMEs. The association is also keeping good liaison with the relevant government agencies to come up with good strategies as to reflect the needs of local SMEs.
The preparation of the inaugural installation ceremony was led by its president NK Foo. The organizing committee has been working hard to pay courtesy calls on invited guests which include the Honorary Permanent President Datuk Frankie Liew, Honorary advisors Datuk Henry Hing and Datuk Alan Ang, legal advisor Shanty Chong, news publishers and business elites in the community.
The association is especially grateful that there are three Platinum Business Award Winners from Sabah this year. Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau will also attend the event as Guest of Honor and personally present the awards to the three winners.
SME Malaysia president Datuk Michael Kang and Consul-General of China, His Excellency Liang CaiDe will also attend the event as special guests.
Foo is encouraging all invited guests to attend and witness this historical event. The inaugural installation dinner will be held at 6pm in Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort with a cocktail reception for the guests. The dinner will officially start at 6:30pm. The council members also wish all attendees to be punctual and have a wonderful celebration through the evening.
