The University College has more than 20 years of experience conducting UK franchised honours degree design programmes, harnessing the best of British design education and contextualising it to local needs and expectations.

For instance, the BA (Hons) Graphic Design, BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design and BA (Hons) Furniture and Product Design programmes are validated and recognised by Manchester Metropolitan University.

These programmes give students the edge in terms of employability and design capabilities.

Students with passion for the fashion industry may pursue the BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing programme. The programme is designed to cater to the fast-moving fashion industry where there is a constant need to handle matters that extend to consumerism, branding, supplies, and marketing.

The various modules in the programme also enable learners to recognise individual skills and interests in fashion marketing to prepare them for a range of business careers in fashion such as designer in sales, brand, fashion and exhibition, clothing design consultant, retail manager, stylist and merchandiser in fashion and visual.

Designers who wish to further their studies to Post-graduate level, may find the Master of Design Management programme at First City University College especially enticing.

This is the first and only programme in Malaysia which combines academic study with creative and professional practice in a project-led curriculum that draws on a range of interdisciplinary perspectives from business and the arts.

It is also designed to support employability and employer engagement by developing both transferable and industryspecific high-level skills including acquiring broad disciplinary knowledge and a professional understanding of modern multi-disciplinary design and design management.

First City University College’s eco-friendly urban campus is well-equipped with state-of-the art facilities which provide for a conducive environment for effective learning and teaching, which include a 3D printing studio, wood workshop, white canvas gallery, drawing studio, photography studio and, Macintosh and PC lab.
