Starting off on the right foot

IN Nilai University, we believe that starting our new students off on the right foot is crucial since the first experiences of a new student in a new environment are critical as it helps them understand the academic programmes and policies, administrative procedures and overall culture of the university better.

In our efforts to help our new student’s transition from a high school environment to university life, Nilai University’s Department of Student Affairs(DSA) has organised various activities in the orientation programme.

The orientation helps lay the foundation for the new students’ entire academic and career paths and boost their confidence, which will help them adapt to their new environment faster.

The orientation also helps new students establish friendships and networks with their seniors and among themselves.

This is done through social activities where seniors act as Orientation Counsellors in planning, organising and executing fun-filled programmes.

The Orientation Counsellors also take this opportunity to share with their juniors their study and work experiences such asbuilding strategies and techniques in tackling university life.

Nilai University specialises in several fields of studies ranging from applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Hospitality and Tourism and Business.
