DAP: Unity is mother of all solutions

-

KOTA KINABALU: Unity is the ‘mother of all solutions'. With unity, there is no problem that can never be solved.

Therefore, it is logic and and acceptable when Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said that Sabahans will be able to overcome any problems that come their way if there is solid unity from all parties concerned.

In supporting the Chief Executive's statement, DAP Sabah treasurer Ronnie Loh Ee Eng said this is the very reason why the newly installed Warisanled state government comprising Parti Warisan Sabah, Democratic Action Party and Parti Keadilan Rakyat strongly embraces the principle of unity in all its endeavours.

He said it is also right for Shafie to call on his administration to work together with the people to create unity in the society as a way of spurring development in the state.

“Sabah DAP will continue to go down to the grassroots and listen to the problems of the people and inform the relevant government departments and agencies of any problems for evaluation and possible speedy solutions,” he stressed.

Ronnie said communication, transparency and honesty between the people and their government is also vital for the development of our community, society and state in general.

“It is better to be part of the solution than part of the problem and if we can be friends why be enemies,” he stressed.

The party treasurer reiterated that DAP will continue to work closely with all its political allies in Sabah to protect the interest and welfare of every Sabahan regardless of political affiliation, religion and race amongst others.

He also reminded the people here to prolong their patience and be more reasonable because it would be very impossible for the new government to bring genuine changes overnight.

“Our Chief Minister and the men and women behind the administration including its supporters and sympathisers are doing their utmost to develop Sabah and level up the standard of living of all Sabahans ... to achieve this noble goal and objective, each one of us should be united in all aspects in life,” he stressed.

In conclusion, Ronnie also said he agreed with the Chief Minister when the latter said while the strength of a society depends on its economic stability, political stability and social welfare, it is most important to have unity amongst the people.
