Malaysia to face Thailand in AFF Suzuki Cup semi-finals

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia faces a tough road ahead in the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup after being paired against defending champions Thailand in the semi-finals.

Thailand advanced to the semi-finals after finishing top of Group B following a 3-0 win over Singapore at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok last night.

Malaysia progressed to the semifinals as Group A runnersup after a 3-0 win over Myanmar in their final group match at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil Sunday.

Malaysian will host Thailand in the first leg on Nov 1, and the second leg will take place in Bangkok four days later.

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) secretary-general, Stuart Michael Ramalingam in his latest post on FAM’s official Facebook page said printed tickets for the first semi-final leg between Malaysia and Thailand will only begin selling on Nov 29.

He said this was because the tickets were being printed in Bangkok by a ticket company appointed by the AFF after the final Group B match last night.

Stuart, however, said fans could book their tickets online at www. tickethotline.com.my beginning today.

“Supporters can then redeem them at the ticket redemption counter at the National Stadium, in Bukit Jalil which will open from Thursday to Saturday,” he said.

Stuart said physical tickets would be made available on Nov 29 and 30 at National Stadium ticket counters; FAM guesthouse in Kelana Jaya and at selected AlIkhsan Sports outlets.

He said if there were any remaining tickets, they would be made available at the National Stadium ticket counters on Saturday.

Stuart also announced that ticket prices for the clash this Saturday was set at RM40 for the grandstand, RM30 (open seating) and RM5 for children.
