A joyful start to Christmas, New Year at the Hilton
KOTA KINABALU: With Christmas just around the corner, Hilton Kota Kinabalu recently kicked of the festive spirit in the hotel with a traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony which was enjoyed by both the hotel's team members and guests.
The hotel's very own carolers serenaded both local and international guests and special appearances by Santa Clause and Santa Rina further enhanced the ceremony, which culminated in the lighting of a 20-foot Christmas tree at the hotel's port cochere by the hotel's General Manager, Linda Pecoraro.
In the spirit of giving, 17 students from Guwas Koposizon College were feted to a lavish buffet dinner that featured Christmas favourites.
Guwas Koposizon is a life skills learning centre under the PACOS Trust umbrella for the underprivileged youths that teaches agriculture based eco-system and dynamic social enterprise through its school of experiential and entrepreneurship development and boarding program that will empower the students with vital entrepreneurial skills and character development upon completion of their two years training.
In June this year, the school qualified for Hilton's Travel with Purpose USD5,000 grant that was used to improve the school's facilities and dormitories.
Hilton Kota Kinabalu will be celebrating the year-end festivities with exciting offers, promotions and activities on Christmas and New Year's Eve and Day for children and adults of all ages.
