Jollibee opens first outlet in KK

KOTA KINABALU: Jollibee Foods Corporatio­n (JFC) has expanded its wings to Malaysia by opening its first branch here in Sabah.

Dubbed as the home of the world-famous Chickenjoy, Sabahans and tourists alike can now enjoy the food chain’s famous fried chicken at Centre Point, Kota Kinabalu, from 9am to 10pm daily.

Jollibee, Centre Point was launched yesterday, which saw crowds lining up as early as 7am to get a taste of the renowned fast food.

“Loved by a global fan base, Chickenjoy has earned the praise of late celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, as well as various leading internatio­nal publicatio­ns like the South China Morning Post and Foodbeast,” JFC chief executive officer Ernesto Tanmantion­g said.

Sabahans can also enjoy Jollibee’s Jolly Spaghetti with its signature sweet-style sauce lapsed with chunky slices hotdog as well as the tasty Yumburgers - a classic combinatio­n of Jollibee’s patty that’s maxed with 100 per cent pure beef and special burger dressing.

JFC has been touted as the largest and fastest growing Asian restaurant company in the world.

Its market capitaliza­tion amounts to USD6.1 billion as of December 7 2018.

“It is an exciting new chapter for Jollibee’s to open its first store in Malaysia.

“We invite Malaysians to come and see for themselves why people line up for hours to enjoy our delicious bestseller­s like Chickenjoy, as well as our friendly service,” Ernesto said.
