JCI Tanjung Aru 2019 installation, award banquet January 12

KOTA KINABALU: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Tanjung Aru will celebrate its 38th Installation & Award Banquet (IAB) at the Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu, Rafflesia Grand Ballroom on 12th January 2019 at 6pm.

Dato’ George Lim Su Chung, the founder of G&A Group will be the guest of honour of the event. There are 15 lucky draw prizes during the event as well.

The objective of this event is to install the 2019 president and board of directors, and to present the awards for 2018.

Organising chairlady Chin Lei Yee said the theme of the 2019 IAB ‘Gatsby Night’ was to (make) the event lively and for members to use their creativity to dress up like the 1920’s.

She also said JCI Tanjung Aru was targeting 300 people for the event to create more networking opportunities.

During the event, an MOU signing between JCI Tanjung Aru and the G&A Group will be conducted to collaborate in improving youth entrepreneurship.

George has sponsored RM10,000 for JCI Tanjung Aru to support its 2019 projects.

“JCI Tanjung Aru is very well known in community projects such as ‘Smile for Peace’ and ‘Say No to Shark Fin Soup’, but it is not enough. Through this collaboration with the G&A Group, we hope to encourage our members in entrepreneurship and improve business management skills,” said president-elect, Wilson Gan Poi Tzen.
