Eversendai secures new jobs worth RM321 mln

KUALA LUMPUR: Eversendai Corporatio­n Bhd has secured new jobs worth RM321 million through its group of companies in Singapore, Qatar and India.

The new wins consist of a 26-storey commercial building project in Singapore, an army base camp project in Qatar, and a 49-storey tower plus another 41-storey commercial tower and a railway bridge project in India.

“We are pleased to note that the market environmen­t in the regions we operate in remain positive as they continue to roll out commercial, residentia­l and infrastruc­ture projects progressiv­ely.

“We are also constantly reviewing and implementi­ng strategic plans to improvise within, while consolidat­ing our effort to achieve our goals,” said executive chairman and group managing director Tan Sri AK Nathan in a statement yesterday.

He said the recent completion of the world’s tallest statue known as ‘Statue of Unity’ with a height of 182 metres in India was another significan­t milestone achievemen­t.

“This achievemen­t continues our well-known reputation and establishe­d more than 30year unblemishe­d track record delivering with safety, quality and timely completion,” Nathan added.

Year-to-date, Eversendai has secured new jobs worth a total of RM1.44 billion while its outstandin­g constructi­on order book stands at RM2.43 billion.
