“Apart from the dragon, unicorn and lion dances, the Cultural Village Exhibition provides a platform for people to learn more about the food and tea cultures presented by the 15 clan associations in Kota Kinabalu. Each of the associations will introduce and display a variety of Chinese New Year pastries and teas originating from their Chinese hometowns,” she said.

Susan also hoped that the younger generation would join Chinese community associations when they join the society to serve the community and preserve their culture.

She said the Cultural Village Exhibition featuring Chinese tea cultures and pastries, will be held at the corridor of Likas Sports Complex starting from 8.30 am onwards on January 19.

It will be launched by the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kota Kinabalu, Liang Caide.
