Sabah’s one-stop property emporium opens
KOTA KINABALU: Kota Kinabalu One Stop Property Centre (KKOSPC) is key to bridging the Sabah, national and international market, said Assistant Local Government and Housing Minister George Hiew Vun Zin.
Hiew pointed out that the people needed to physically access a local-based platform to gather relevant and important details and model house before buying property.
He added that these are some of the factors that make KKOSPC the ideal information and investment centre for property buyers and investors.
“KKOSPC is a platform to link up developers, property investors and home buyers. We can see the developers’ model houses in this beautiful show gallery and spacious conference hall for property talks and seminars,” said Hiew, whose speech was delivered by the assistant minister’s special officer, Allen Thien, during the KKOSPC grand opening here yesterday.
“We can see KKOSPC is engaged in marketing domestic property and in future international property. Say, suppose if you intend to buy a property in Kuala Lumpur, this centre is the first step to get the basic information and details. Sometimes, it is difficult to check the accuracy and reliability of the information since you are staying in here, Sabah. If we can search and obtain the developer’s profile, property details and information in this centre, we can save time and save cost. Here, the centre is playing an important role.
“In order to build up trust and maintain long-term relationship with buyers, one should always deal with reliable and trusted developers. Therefore, buyers have the opportunity to know more about the developer and its project through this centre. With this centre, buyers may have more confidence in choosing the property they wish to purchase,” he added.
According to NB Land Group marketing director Rachael Thong, KKOSPC consists of an exhibition hall, a conference hall and a marketing team.
The centre has 10 booths inside the exhibition hall that provides long-term and shortterm exhibition renting service for developers to show case their newly launched properties.
She said the exhibition hall currently houses Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak and Melaka properties between the price range of RM87,000 to RM2 million and sizes of between 135 to 1,600 square feet.
“Next, we will regularly use our conference hall to organize all kinds of events. We will invite specialists and industry professionals, such as investment consultants, bankers, Feng Sui master, lawyer and etcetera,” she said.
“We also have a strong mobile marketing team that will promote all the property developments showcased in our exhibition hall and various parts of Sabah via road shows, buntings, banners and advertisements.
“Besides that, this team will always provide assistance for all the developers from outstation and overseas in terms of arranging local logistics, sales strategy and sales closing at any time while promoting various exhibition activities more efficiently,” she added.
Thong said the company aims to enhance the communication and networking between investors and developers.
“KKOSPC allows Sabahans to explore a myriad of opportunities for property investment, both locally and internationally, while simplifying the procedures for developers and buyers to complete their sales and purchase deals,” she said.
Chak Wah Cheun, political secretary to Sabah Chief Minister, Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (SHAREDA) president Chew Sang Hai, NB Land Group executive director Chong Kit Han and G N Wong, managing director of NB Land Group were at the ceremony.
