Papar Town, Jun Bakery celebrate grand opening

-

KOTA KINABALU: Papar Town and Jun Bakery, subsidiaries under Horizon Hotel Group, celebrated their grand opening here on Friday.

The event was officiated by the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) Sabah branch president, Datuk Frankie Liew.

Papar Town is located opposite a bus terminal, an area concentrated with offices, light industries, commercial shops and residential homes.

The Halal-certified eatery offers local cuisine such as nasi lemak, rendang, toast as well as Hong Kong dim sum.

Both Papar Town and Jun Bakery are located adjacent to the newly-opened 3-Plus Hotel to provide tourists and in-house guests food and beverage (F&B) services.

Liew said Gary Saw, who helmed the Horizon Hotel, is a life member of MCCC Sabah branch.

He said the Horizon Hotel was a popular accommodation in the city centre while its restaurant offerings were also well-liked by tourists and locals alike.

“We are happy to see local entrepreneurs expanding their investments in the local hotel and F&B industries.”

He said Papar Town, with its array of food choices, enabled tourists to taste our local cuisine.

“This augurs well for the development of the local tourism and F&B industries.”

Liew also hoped that Papar Town would expand its number of outlets, which in turn, spur the local economy and create more job opportunities.

Papar Town is open daily from 7am to 5pm.

Also present at the ceremony were Saw’s spouse, June Liew, Horizon Hotel director Evelyn Saw, Jun Bakery director Cindy Saw, Papar Town director Andy Saw, Chef Natassia C. Samin, Chef Loo Kok Keong, Chef Aloysius Ho and Rosidi Md. Hassan.
