Henry Golding teases ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ sequel at the Oscars

-

LOS ANGELES: EnglishMalaysian actor Henry Golding has slackened jaws during the Oscars awards ceremony by teasing the sequel to Crazy Rich Asians.

Golding, who is hotly-tipped to be the next James Bond, looked every inch a 007-wannabe in his custom-made Ralph Lauren Purple Label tuxedo.

It’s a far cry from the tattered jeans and faded T-shirts he wore during his childhood in Betong.

Without a doubt, with his dazzling smile, Golding stood out in the crowd of A-listers with carefully choreographed movements.

Although Crazy Rich Asians was totally snubbed - not earning a single nomination - Golding, who was at the Oscars with his wife Liv Lo in tow, clearly enjoyed every moment in the limelight.

You know, it’s wonderful to be able to stand next to everyone having a film like ‘Crazy Rich Asians’, makes such a big impact and goes to show we’re worthy of the cinema so more to come, I hope.

And he couldn’t resist letting everyone know a sequel to the blockbuster rom-com is in the works.

Raved a beaming Golding: “You know, it’s wonderful to be able to stand next to everyone having a film like Crazy Rich Asians, makes such a big impact and goes to show we’re worthy of the cinema so more to come, I hope.”

Co-stars Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, Constance Wu and Awkwafina also showed up.

Michelle even had the privilege of presenting an award. Golding is confident that those working on the sequel will enjoy the experience.

He predicted: “It will be a good time.”

Golding had so much fun with the cast, he often reminisces on their time together by watching the blockbuster rom-com. “I watched the movie probably about three or four times at the cinema but all of it run up to the premiere I must have seen it in total, probably about 14, 15 times,” he admitted.
