KOTA KINABALU: Mercure Kota Kinabalu re-introduced its star outlet as Compass Lifestyle Lounge, a place to relax and bask in magnificent views amidst a selection of carefully curated food and beverages.

Located on the 25th floor, the hotel wanted to capitalise on its prime location of being one of the highest lounge bars in the city by transforming what was previously a gym, into additional space to provide the lifestyle experience that comes with Mercure.

Speaking at the relaunching event, hotel general manager David Tai said with a capacity of over 100 persons, the Lifestyle Lounge has both an enclosed, air conditioned space with floor to ceiling glass windows, as well as an open air section with a laid back dining layout for those who prefer the outdoors, with spectacular views of the ocean.

“Compass is known to provide one of the best places in the city to relax and unwind, while you soak in the breath-taking views of the city and shimmering South China Sea. It also makes an ideal location to host a private or corporate event with an extensive range of food and beverage packages that can be tailored to suit your needs,” he said.

In line with the launch of the Lifestyle Lounge, a special menu with signature dishes has been added to enhance the new theme.

The must-try signature dish is the pan-seared scallop, a pan fried scallop dish served with cream of scallion, balsamic and chili oil, to please the palate of many. The outlet with a brand new look will be offering promotions from time to time.

Operating hours are from 10am to 11pm daily.
