- By Shalina R.

KOTA KINABALU: Political "sneeze" and "cough" in the Peninsular will have some effect on Sabah, noted Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.

Therefore, he said the happenings must be taken as lessons to preserve the position of the ruling government.

"Whatever that has happened there in Peninsular, somehow it would have some kind of effect on Sabah and Sarawak too.

“Whether they sneeze or cough, somehow it will have some effect on us here," he said at the launch of Members of Parliament and Members of Sabah State Legislative Assembly Special Executive Program here yesterday.

"So we have to take note of that. This is one, we say that the people have decided what they will give and we must accept those results.

“We must look into synchronization so it will not be continuous to ensure our position as the ruling government can be ensured.”
