LABUAN: The fifth and final leg for the 2018/2019 session of the PAM Fellowship Golf Tournament was held on the 27 Feb at the par 72 Labuan International Golf Course (LIGC).

The visiting golfers were warmly welcomed upon arrival by Majena Achan, the marketing executive of the LIGC, for choosing its golf course as the venue for the competition.

Despite the limited number of participants in the tournament, the low turn out did not damped the spirit of golf fellowship. A total of 14 enthusiastic architect and invitee golfers took up the challenge in this ‘not-so-easy’ course, which is hilly, undulating with narrow fairways. The 567meter par 5, hole 10 was a killer hole, inflicting many casualties with double pars.

Ar. Shahriman Abdullah with his nett score of 73, proved how true it is, in the famous golf saying that ‘it is not how you drive, but how you arrive’. He emerged as the champion in the architects section while Ar. Chin Yin Tet was the first runner-up.

The champion of the invitee section was won by Bunny Teh, while KP Ong, Michael Chin and Nip Yuck Woh were the first, second and third runners-up respectively.

The prize presentation was later held at a seafood restaurant at the old market, with fresh crabs, prawns, fish and so on, much to the delight and enjoyment of everyone.
