Silverstreet: Adopting technology in business is cost-effective

-

Adopting technology into daily business operations is not as expensive and difficult as many think, says technology solutions provider Silverstreet Group.

Chief commercial officer Eric Dadoun said small and medium enterprises (SMEs) spend a huge portion of their time answering repeated queries from various customers on the same questions.

“By using artificial intelligence (AI) and chatbots, the time spent can be better used in providing better service to the customers. This will directly increase the company’s productivity rate. It’s simple and is more cost-effective,” he said in an interview with Bernama.

He said that as time passes, businesses must also move forward and adapt to the digital transformation.

“Websites and social media presence are important in today’s age. With the increase in connectivity and online transactions, businesses have better chances to branch out and reach more customers,” he said.

Dadoun added that besides SMEs, the healthcare and education sectors also need to adopt technology especially AI to increase the efficiency and security of daily procedures.

“Technology can curb data breaches and currently we have more than 100 partners in Malaysia using our AI and chatbot technology,” he said.

Meanwhile, he commended the initiative by the government to boost the use of technology in its latest Industrial Revolution 4.0 framework.

“I believe that Malaysia has a lot of potential to grow in the region and with government backing in this area, local businesses have better chances to adapt,” he said.

Dadoun said the company is eyeing double-digit growth as its customer base has recorded a hike of 25 per cent compared to the previous year. — Bernama
