Under-fire Kareena Kapoor denies being arrogant
MUMBAI: As a growing number of disenchanted fans are dismissing her as being arrogant, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has fired back with a strong denial.
She said that there is a myth about actors and especially those who are from a family of actors.
As for her detractors, Kareena said: “Most of them are the ones who are jealous or the ones who aspire to be like me.”
Kareena’s off-the-cuff comments came during a televised talk show. She also said that she is very forgiving when nasty comments come her way.
On the work front, Kareena will be next seen in Good News co-starring Akshay Kumar. Apart from Kareena and Akki, the film will also star Kiara Advani, Diljit Dosanjh and Jimmy Shergill in significant roles. It is all set to hit cinemas in September.
Meanwhile, actress Sara Ali Khan, 25, has spoken in defence of her stepmom Kareena.
But her comments came with the caveat: “I’ve been an avid Kareena Kapoor fan.”
Added Sara: “As far as our personal equation is concerned, I was clear from the beginning that anyone who makes my father happy – not specifically Kareena – makes me happy. Anyone, he loves, I love. I don’t need to know who that person is.
“It’s about my father. Having said that, Kareena and I became friends and have a healthy equation regardless of the fact that we’ve conducted ourselves with dignity. It’s also easy for me to love and accept Kareena because I have a mom, who makes me feel everything’s fine.”
