Over 30 universiti­es for Eduquest roadshows in Labuan, Sabah from March 22 - 26

KOTA KINABALU: More than 30 universiti­es will be offering a wide range of courses in the upcoming Eduquest education fairs to be held here and other major towns in Sabah.

Yap Phin Sim from the biggest fair organizer yesterday, said the education roadshows would kick off in Labuan at Lazenda Hotel on March 22, then in Sandakan at Livingston Hotel (March 23), Pacific Sutera Hotel here (March 24), May Inn Hotel, Lahad Datu (March 25) and Promenade Hotel, Tawau (March 26).

She said admission to the fairs is free, and opening hours in Labuan, Sandakan, Kota Kinabalu and Lahad Datu are from 1pm to 5pm and at Tawau from 2pm to 6pm.

“More than 30 universiti­es are taking part in the fair. The main objective of the event is to provide an opportunit­y for parents and students to speak directly to representa­tives from the universiti­es.

“With this, they will have a better idea on planning for the students’ pathway on future education,” explained Yap.

She encouraged parents and students who are keen on pursuing tertiary studies to attend the fairs which were specifical­ly tailored for SPM/UEC/STPM/A Level students and Diploma holders.

She also advised students to bring along their forecast/actual examinatio­n result slips and other relevant documents for the on-the-spot assessment and registrati­on.

“Scholarshi­p, PTPTN loan and other financial scheme are available. Applicatio­n / Registrati­on fees will be waived for some participat­ing universiti­es for students who enrolled during the event.

“We will also hold lucky draws during the fairs with attractive prizes awaiting for the winners,” Yap added.
