KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Aesthetics Group Gymnastics Association (MAGGA), want to bid for the hosting of the 2020 Aesthetic Group Gymnastics World Cup.

“So far IFAGG president, Tatiana Miroshnychenko is quite supportive of us. Off course, we are looking at our financial aspects and the participations of athletes from Malaysia and Singapore in the world meet which is expected to attract 1,000 athletes from 40 countries.
“In terms of facilities, we have adequate facilities…This sport does not requires much equipment, a good hall and carpet is enough. We are looking at a few venues like Axiata Arena (Bukit Jalil) and Malawati Stadium (Shah Alam), we will decide on it before submitting our bid during the IFAGG congress to be held soon,” he said.
Earlier, Sports Commissioner Datuk Zaiton Othman handed over the national flag to the Malaysian contingent to the World Cup, Challenge Cup, Singapore Cup and Four Continents Championship to be held on April 1-4 at the Tampines Hub, Singapore.
