KUCHING: CMS Roads Sdn Bhd (CMS Roads) will continue bidding for road related projects and promoting the benefits of the ‘Performance Based Contract’ platform.
According to Cahya Mata Sarawak Bhd’s (CMS) Group chief executive officer (CEO) – Operations Goh Chii Bing, CMS Roads contributed about 12 per cent to the CMS Group’s revenue in 2018.
“In terms of what’s next, we will continue to bid for road related projects based on our extensive experience gained over the past 15 years,” Goh said in an exclusive interview with The Borneo Post.
“We will also continue to promote the benefits of the ‘Performance Based Contract’ platform as the way forward.
“The ‘Performance Based Contract’ really is the future of road building and maintenance because the contract holder is accountable for the quality, which is beneficial for Jabatan Kerja Raya and the road users.
“Therefore, the general public and the State can be assured on the quality and response time for any incident on all roads currently being maintained by CMS Roads.”
On CMS Roads’ investment in machinery, technology and equipment, Goh revealed that to date, the company has invested heavily in 620 units of equipment
