Yusri Che Lah wants players to get act together

-

KOTA BHARU: Kelantan's chief coach Yusri Che Lah wants his players to rise and beat the Penang team at the Premier League meeting at the Sultan Muhammad lV Stadium tonight (Apr 26).

Yusri said his team must not lose in the eight remaining matches in the league to be in contention next season in the league as it was at the bottom of the rung in the relegation zone to the Third Division League (M3).

‘'We must admit that time is getting shorter for the team, players cannot play without confidence to rise, without confidence they will continue to make mistakes to be punished by the opposition teams.

‘'The players must have a positive attitude if they don't want to be disappointed and remain at the bottom of the league, I don't want them to field themselves like in the previous matches,'' he said when contacted here yesterday.

After nine matches, Kelantan, currently, were at the bottom of the league with four points after only obtaining one win (points deducted), four draws and four losses.

He said his players must give more focus to the match in the effort to get points at home.

‘'Play aggressively because the team is in a pressured situation after failing to record a win on own turf at the previous match.

‘'We have yet to win especially at home and it gives a big problem because the fans want the team to perform well and win,'' he said.

He said the team was a bit relieved when the two main pillars, Nik Akif Syahiran Nik Mat and Mohd Azwan Aripin completed their suspension to enable them to be fielded.

‘'We still cannot field Nik Azli Nik Alias and Cassio de Jesus because they are still injured but with the reentry of Mohd Azwan, there would surely be a revamp of the defence, and only the best players will be listed in the first 11,” he said.
