JCI Tanjung Aru wins 20 awards in Area Sabah Convention 2019
Junior Chamber International (JCI) Tanjung Aru won 20 awards in the 16th JCI Malaysia Area Sabah Convention held from May 3 to 5 in LA Hotel, Tawau.
During the convention, awards and recognition were given out to dedicated and committed JCI members in Sabah.
Under the leadership of President Wilson Gan Poi Tzen, JCI Tanjung Aru was awarded as the Top 2 Most Active Local Organization Award; Most Active Material Submissions to Area E-newsletter; Top 2 Largest Participation to Area Active Citizen Framework Workshop; and Top 2 Largest Delegates to 2019 JCI Malaysia Leadership Summit. Through his hardwork in JCI Tanjung Aru, Wilson received Most Participative President at President’s Summit; Most Outstanding President Report; Most Efficient Communicator Award (President); Inspiring Local President; and Bahasa Malaysia Public Speaking 1st Runner Up.

They won English Public Speaking Champion - Ng Wei Li; Chinese Public Speaking first runner-up Amanda Yong Man Weng; English Debate Champion - Cynthia Cheong Cheong Jia Pey, Tan Shu Yun, and Elaine Han; Best English Debater - Cynthia Cheong Jia Pey; Chinese Debate Champion - Chin Lei Yee, Chin Wen Yuh, and Tham Yeh Ying; Chinese Best Debater – Chin Lei Yee; and Parliamentary Quiz winner Jennee Chang Jen Nee.
