Hotel shares spirit of Ramadan with orphans
KOTA KINABALU: The Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu on Friday shared the spirit of Ramadan with a heartwarming “Majlis Berbuka Puasa Bersama Kanak-Kanak Rumah Anak Yatim (RAY) Tambunan dan Rakan-Rakan Media” at the Promenade Café.
Prior to the breaking of fast, 20 orphans and four personnel from RAY- an orphanage in Tambunan, arrived earlier and were given personalized tour of the hotel before checking to their hosted rooms in the hotel.
“This is just one of the many corporate social responsibilities carried out by the hotel throughout the year. It is our earnest hope that the kids take this short educational trip as part of the learning experience and grow up to be productive citizens,” said the hotel’s general manager Hafizan Wong, who gave out Raya packets and goodies to the children during the gathering.
This year’s Buffet Sungkai at the Promenade Café featured Celebrity Chef Dato’ Fazley’s signature dishes throughout the month of Ramadan together with Promenade Cafe’s very own signature dishes such as Rendang Ala Firdaus and existing international buffet dinner spread.
Fazley’s signature dishes include Kepak Ayam Sambal Minang Kerabu Daging Salai, Salted Egg Yolk Cream Pasta, Daging Salai Lemak Cili Api Dengan Mangga Muda, Rendang Daging Minang, Ayam Pop Sambal Hijau, Udang Salai Lemak Cili Api Dengan Ikan Masin, Seafood Salai Station with five sauces, namely Sambal Hijau, Sambal Merah, Sambal Minang, Sambal Kicap and Sambal Asam.
