Second Early Childhood Conference in November

-

The International Early Childhood Conference (IECC) 2019 Organizing Committee will hold its second conference and launch its new website at Pan Pacific Sutera Harbour Resort here on November 25-27, this year.

Due to the great success of the first IECC conference held two years ago with 280 participants, teachers are looking forward to the next one.

The theme for the second conference is “Towards quality ECE practices”.

Parallel workshops have been organized into five tracks namely; Early Literacy, Special Education, Managing Children’s Behaviour, STEM and Music.

“This round we are very excited as one of our keynote speakers will be from Finland. Other speakers invited consist of highly qualified experts from Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Australia. We hope that by organizing conferences such as this will inspire and ignite kindergarten teachers to improve their own practice and increase their knowledge so that together we can improve the quality of early childhood education in Sabah, and in Malaysia,” said the organizing chairman, Datuk Chin Shu Ying.

“One of the purposes of organizing this conference is so that kindergartens and childcare providers in Sabah will have the opportunity to attend an international conference right at their doorstep. It is definitely an opportunity not to be missed. We hope that in future this conference will be a regular event for Sabah,” Chin added.

The IECC is a joint effort between Persatuan Tadika Sabah (PTS), Sabah Chinese Kindergarten Boards Association (SCKBA) and Persatuan Perkhidmatan Taska Sabah (PPTS).

Information about the conference and online registration can be obtained from www.iecc.org.my.
